Charles (Chuck) Magro

President and Chief Executive Officer

Chuck Magro is President and Chief Executive Officer of Nutrien. He was previously President and Chief Executive Officer of Agrium, which he joined in 2009.?

Other key leadership roles Chuck held at Agrium include Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President; Chief Risk Officer and Executive Vice President of Corporate Development; and Vice President, Manufacturing. He joined Agrium following a productive career with NOVA Chemicals.

Chuck plays an active role on the boards of the Business Council of Canada, International Plant Nutrition Institute and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. He also serves as chair of Canpotex Limited, vice chairman of the International Fertilizer Association and past chair of The Fertilizer Institute and the Nutrients for Life Foundation.

Chuck holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Chemical Engineering) from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Windsor.

Pedro Farah

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Pedro Farah is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Nutrien. In a distinguished career in finance that has spanned over 30 years, Pedro has held a number of senior executive positions. Before joining Nutrien in February 2019 as Chief Financial Officer, he spent the previous seven years with Walmart where most recently, based in Bentonville, Arkansas, he was Executive Vice President & Treasurer, responsible for overseeing the company’s Global Treasury, Tax, Finance Technology, and Global Risk Management.?

Other previous career stops include Walgreens Boots Alliance, Dell and General Motors. Pedro is well-traveled and has experience across Latin America, North America, Europe, The Middle East and Asia.

Born, raised and educated in Brazil, Pedro worked in several Brazilian financial institutions before moving to Switzerland to do his MBA.

Michael J. Frank

Executive Vice President and CEO of Retail

Mike Frank is Executive Vice President and CEO of Retail at Nutrien.

Mike has more than 25 years of experience in the agricultural industry, with expertise in sales, marketing and general management. He also has experience in global supply chain and geographic distribution channels, digital commerce strategies, cultural and digital transformation and leadership of global teams.

Before joining Agrium in September 2017 as Executive Vice President and President, Retail Business Unit, Mike spent more than two decades working in senior roles at Monsanto Company, where he was most recently Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. He holds a degree in agricultural engineering from the University of Saskatchewan and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University.

Susan Jones

Executive Vice President and CEO of Potash

Susan Jones is Executive Vice President and CEO of Potash at Nutrien.

Susan has worked in a variety of roles since she joined the company in 2005, including Business Development and Strategy; Managing Director of the European Distribution Business; Vice President of Wholesale Sales, Marketing and Logistics; and Chief Legal Officer. Most recently Susan was Executive Vice President and President of Phosphate.?

Susan is a member of the Board of Directors for Gibson Energy. She has served on the United Way, the agricultural sub-section of the Canadian Bar Association and has been an active member and supporter of the company’s women’s leadership group. In 2017, Susan was named Deal Maker of the Year at the Canadian General Counsel Awards.?

Susan has a law degree as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Hispanic Studies. She is fluent in French, Italian, Spanish and English.

Leslie O’Donoghue

Executive Advisor to the CEO

Leslie O’Donoghue is Executive Advisor to the CEO. She was previously Nutrien’s Executive Vice President, Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer, and Agrium’s Executive Vice President, Corporate Development and Strategy; Chief Risk Officer; and Executive Vice President, Operations. Prior to that she served in a variety of positions covering a wide range of responsibilities including legal affairs and corporate governance; government relations; health, safety and security; sustainability and stakeholder relations; internal audit; operational excellence; and mergers and acquisitions.

Leslie is a member of the Board of Directors for Pembina Pipeline Corporation and United Way of Calgary and Area.

In 2017, she received the Distinguished Business Leader Award, co-presented by the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business and the Calgary Chamber of Commerce. In 2016, she was recognized with a Queen’s Alumni Award for excelling in a career outside the traditional practice of law. She has also received an Alberta Queen’s Counsel Appointment and was named one of the Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers in Canada by Canadian Lawyer magazine.

Before joining Agrium in 1999, Leslie was a partner in the national law firm of Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP.

Joseph Podwika

Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer

Joseph Podwika is Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer of Nutrien. He was previously Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary with PotashCorp. He was responsible for delivery of legal services and the corporate compliance program, in addition to corporate governance processes in his role as corporate secretary.

Before joining PotashCorp, Joe worked in the legal department of International Paper Company in Memphis, Tennessee and was in private practice with Jaeckle, Fleischmann & Mugel in Buffalo, New York.?

He earned an English degree with highest honors at State University of New York at Buffalo and a Juris Doctorate from Northwestern University School of Law. He is a member of the American and Canadian bar associations, the Association of Corporate Counsel and the U.S. and Canadian societies of corporate secretaries and governance professionals.

Brent Poohkay

Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Brent Poohkay is Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Nutrien. He was formerly Senior Vice President, Information Technology (IT) with PotashCorp, responsible for IT services, including development and execution of IT strategy supporting operational excellence across the organization.

Prior to joining PotashCorp, Brent held a range of senior management and executive roles in academia and the private sector. Most recently, he was with Enbridge Inc. for more than 10 years as Vice President and Chief Information Officer and Chief Privacy Officer, overseeing transformation of the company’s IT services to an integrated one-team model.

Brent holds a Master’s Degree in Education as well as a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Alberta. He served as Chair of the Board of Directors for TELUS Spark, the new science centre in Calgary, Canada.

Raef Sully

Executive Vice President and CEO of Nitrogen and Phosphate

Raef Sully is Executive Vice President and CEO of?Nitrogen and Phosphate at Nutrien. He was previously president of Nutrien’s Potash business unit. Prior to that, he was President, PCS Nitrogen and Phosphate, a position he assumed in 2016 after serving as president of PCS Nitrogen.

Raef originally joined PotashCorp in 2012 to oversee the company’s potash expansion program, eventually becoming Vice President, Project Management and Capital, with responsibility for managing the company’s capital program and large projects.

Raef began his career at Hyder Consulting PLC (formerly Acer Wargon Chapman) in Sydney, Australia. As an Associate Director, he was involved for almost five years in engineering design and construction management of tall buildings and large infrastructure projects. From 2001 to 2012, he worked at Bain & Company and was a Principal in their mining and resources practice.

Raef has a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) in civil engineering and a PhD in structural engineering from the University of Sydney.

Mark Thompson

Executive Vice President, Chief Corporate Development and Strategy Officer

Mark Thompson is Executive Vice President, Chief Corporate Development & Strategy Officer at Nutrien. In this role, Mark has executive leadership over Nutrien’s global corporate development, strategy and market research functions.

Mark joined Nutrien in 2011 and has worked across the company’s Corporate, Retail and NPK business units. Mark has also held key senior leadership positions including Special Assistant to the CEO, Vice President of Strategy and Vice President of Business Development. Across these roles, he has successfully led the evaluation and execution of strategic initiatives, partnerships, acquisitions and investments that have been central to the continued growth and development of the company.?

Prior to his current role, Mark led M&A, greenfield builds & strategy for Nutrien’s global Retail business, while growing strategic industry relationships, contributing to Nutrien Ag Solutions’ digital strategy and playing a leading role in building Nutrien’s substantial presence within the global ag technology landscape.

Before joining Nutrien, Mark worked for the Government of Canada’s Real Property Branch?within commercial real estate investment and portfolio management. Mark attended the University of Saskatchewan, where he earned Bachelor’s degrees in Commerce (Finance) and Arts (Sociology). He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations.

Michael Webb

Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources and Administrative Officer

Mike Webb is Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources and Administrative Officer for Nutrien, responsible for Human Resources, Global Facilities, Sustainability and Stakeholder Relations, Community Relations and Investment, as well as Issues Management and Government Relations. ?He was previously the Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Nutrien. ?When Mike joined Agrium in January 2014, he was Senior Vice President, Human Resources.

Mike moved to Canada in 2010 following a 20-year career in the Asia Pacific region. He started in Hong Kong in financial services having worked for Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley. While at Morgan Stanley, he served in senior HR roles in New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and India. Later, he joined HSBC as Head of HR for their institutional businesses in the Asia Pacific region, which was comprised of 20 countries. Mike eventually became Global Head of HR for HSBC Amanah and worked throughout the Middle East.

In 2010, he became an International Executive for HSBC and moved to Vancouver to assume responsibility as Senior Vice President, HR for Canada before moving to Agrium in 2014.

Mike received his Bachelor of Science degree from William Jewell College in Missouri in 1990. He has also served on a number of non-profit Boards the most recent being the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra Society.
